Delivery & collection

There are a number of ways for you to get your hands on your Durham University Merchandise wherever you are!

  • Click & collect - collect from one of our pick-up points
  • Delivery - get your order delivered via Royal Mail 48 hour tracked (whether UK, Europe or Internationally)
  • Instant Collection - please visit the Teaching and Learning Centre reception, Bill Bryson Library reception or Maths reception to see a small range of our items you can purchase there and then. Simply scan the QR code, choose your products and show the receptionists your order confirmation and they will give you the item
  • Internal Post (department's only) - place your order using your department account and get it sent to your chosen on campus location

Orders placed are generally dispatched within 48 hours. You will receive an email comfirmation for your order and will be notified when your order is then dispatched. You will then be able to track your order.

We send out our parcels using eco-friendly mailing bags which are made from recycled materials and are recyclable. We are looking to improve this further with biodegradable options.

  • UK Delivery

    Delivery within the UK is £5.99* and will be sent via Tracked 48h Royal Mail.

    *For orders that weigh above 22lb delivery will cost £12.19

  • Click and Collect

    We also offer a free click a collect service. This service includes the following locations: 

    • Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC)
    • Bill Bryson Library
    • The Botanic Gardens
    • The Oriental Museum
    • Palace Green Library 


    When placing your order, simply choose, "pick-up in store" as your chosen delivery method. Please note once you have received the 'item dispatched' email from our website, the order will be ready for collection 2-3 days later. You will not get an email to confirm that your parcel has arrived so just pop along to collect along with your order confirmation. You will be informed of each location for collection when placing your order.

    Items will be held for 12 weeks after which point they will be returned to us. 
  • European/International Delivery

    The cost of delivering internationally will be based on the size of the items, their weight and the country of delivery - They will be sent via Royal Mail and will be trackable. The cost will be calculated at checkout. We are not responsible for any customs and taxed applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.)

    • Europe 3-5 business days
    • Rest of World 6-7 business days

  • Internal Department Orders

    If you are staff and ordering an internal order for an event, your order will be sent via internal post to the University location you provide. Please note for order of quantities of over 100 please give us at least two weeks notice (for Jewellery or reusable coffee cups of over five please give us at least three weeks). 

  • Part Deliveries

    If an item is temporarily out of stock, we will ship you the part of your order that is in stock. When the item becomes available we will ship you the rest of your order. You will not be charged any additional shipping and handling for the second shipment.

  • My Order hasn't arrived

    If your order has exceeded the expected delivery timescale as set out above, please contact us in the first instance, and we will happily look into this and send our replacements where necessary.
